Elementary Schools
The first years of school establish the outlook a child has toward education. They learn how to develop relationships, are taught how to learn, and gain experience in communicating with their peers and adults. These initial experiences should be such that the child eagerly looks forward to attending school each day!
Classrooms and common spaces, such as libraries, gymnasiums, and cafeterias, for this age group should be designed as "backdrops" that encourage exploration, discovery, and understanding.
